Hello.
Here's a bit more about me...
My Story
Hi I'm Mary, the founder of The Intentional Organiser.
I have a background of a double degree in the social sciences, majoring in development studies & am currently studying a counselling diploma.
Life experiences that have shaped who I am include growing up besties with my brother who has Downs Syndrome, several years as a support worker, a university graduate who became a Senior Project Officer with the Quality Team Disability SA, some time learning to love entrepreneurship as an independent community project officer post maternity leave, then I becoming brave enough to start my own business doing what I love most - professional organising.
I started The Intentional Organiser because I realised that having a clutter-free, organised home will transform your life. Over 9 years later, with a late-diagnosis of autism/ADHD, I now realise why organisation was so key for me to overcome overwhelm. Over my many years of service, and hundreds of clients, I have learned so much about what actually works for people and how to provide practical sustainable solutions. I am passionate about helping overwhelmed people escape the cycle of clutter and burnout, and to reclaim their lives and live to their potential.
I understand that all brains work differently and how to work with strengths to overcome and 'hack' people's space to overcome any challenges that prevent them from functioning at their best. I teach organisational life skills that I have learned that have helped me and my many clients to overcome life's difficulties and thrive.
When I'm not helping people get organised, you can find me in the garden with my kids and chooks soaking up the simple joys in life!
